There is something about good food prepared with time, dedication, and fueled by passion that brings people together. To enjoy a meal around the table at the new Windsor Cafeteria is an experience you will never forget, and probably won’t have to because you’ll come back again and again. When Marcus Snipes, Owner and Chef opened the doors of the Windsor Cafeteria in June 2014, his objective was to serve savory, wholesome menu items to folks that enjoy Southern classics with a fresh and flavorful twist.
For the early riser, Windsor Cafeteria’s doors swing open as early as 7:00 AM serving fish and grits, a selection of omelets, salmon croquettes, waffles, pancakes, French toast, and other favorites. Many Windsor Forest community residents enjoy a cup of coffee and allow the aroma of bacon, blueberry pancakes, French toast, liver and onions, smothered pork chops, fluffy omelets to awaken their taste buds.
The friendly staff with infectious smiles greet each customer at the door no matter the time of day. An eclectic mix of Savannah neighbors, surrounding business employees, city & county workers, elected officials, as well as out-of-towners flock to Windsor Cafeteria for its delicious lunch menu. The most popular items features entrées items such as Catfish, Meatloaf, Liver, Stewed Chicken, Turkey Wings, Baked Ham, and of course the best Fried Chicken. Windsor Cafeteria offers healthy, fresh salads with grilled chicken or fresh fruits and vegetables topped with made-from-scratch dressings.
Windsor Cafeteria is proud of its diverse menu offerings. Boasting a large selection of home-style sides and vegetables that vary daily, like collard greens, cabbage, butter beans, homemade mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, yellow squash, candied yams, and fried okra just to name a few. This isn’t fast food, this is GOOD food!
To satisfy your sweet tooth, if you managed to save room, Windsor Cafeteria’s dessert menu is appealing enough to almost insist that you sample them ALL. Choose from a great selection of homemade desserts like peach, blueberry, or apple cobbler, strawberry shortcake, pecan pie, and other great cakes & pies. Southside Savannah has truly gained a gem and Windsor Cafeteria is here to stay!
Windsor Cafeteria is located at 12313 Largo Drive, situated next door to Harbor Freight Tools. Business hours are Monday – Friday from 7AM until 6PM; Saturday hours are 7AM – 5PM. Breakfast is served daily until 11AM. Windsor Cafeteria is closed on Sundays.
